The Head of the HFR High Council Sergey Shishkarev commented on the choice of the host city for the women’s Cup of Russia Final Four.
— The Final Four of the Russian Cup is a status event, which always attracts attention of a huge number of fans. And if no one is impressed by participation of CSKA, Rostov-Don and Lada in the decisive stage, the appearance of Dinamo-Sinara among its participants was a kind of surprise. This time the HFR received two applications for holding the Final Four — from Moscow and Rostov-on-Don. Togliatti hosted the tournament last year and currently there is no arena in Volgograd, that would correspond to matches of such a high level.
The decision was made by a vote of the high Council members, who expressed a preference for Rostov-on-Don. The city has the entire necessary infrastructure to hold the Final Four, including a new modern arena with a capacity of about three thousand spectators. I’m sure, that numerous handball fans will witness bright uncompromising fights, — Sergey Shishkarev said.
