The coaching staff of HC Lada Togliatti underwent changes.
The General Director, approved by the senior management of the club, due to unsatisfactory sports results decided to suspend the head coach Ekaterina Marennikova and her assistant Aleksandr Kashirin from their duties. Three coaches will manage the club till the end of the season — Irina Bliznova, Aleksey Zhavoronkov and Lyubov Korotneva.
— It was unexpected for me. I had no desire to head the team and I’m coming to the coaching position during the playoffs of the national championship to try to finish the season respectably. Together with my colleagues and girls we will make every effort to work the remaining month and a half with our heads held high, — Irina Bliznova said.
