All first quarter-final matches of the Cup of Russia were completed.
Handball clubs Luch and Lada met in Moscow. HC Lada Togliatti proved to be stronger with an eight-goal advantage. The return match will be held on February, 4.
In the central match of the game day in the women’s Cup of Russia HC CSKA achieved a minimal victory over HC Chernomorochka in Novorossiysk.
HC Rostov-Don achieved a confident guest victory over HC Universitet Izhevsk. Irina Dibirova’s team was stronger with a twenty-goal difference. The goalkeepers of the guest Anastasia Kazmenko and Anastasia Yasnitskaya proved themselves excellently and reflected 66% (14 out of 21) and 52% (10 out of 19) of throws respectively.
